Job description
What we are looking for:
We are looking for an experienced Gas Engineer to join our expanding operations team in London & East Anglia. You will be responsible for safely carrying out a range of gas works including but not limited to, attending gas escapes, survey work, servicing, repairs and meter re-sites on project work. You will be required to install pipework on a regular basis so must be confident drilling through walls and soldering in internal and external work environments.
What you need to have:
Current ACS certification including CCN1 & MET1.
Own tools
A minimum 2 years gas industry experience
Full driving licence (maximum 6 points)

Gas Assistant Operative (NCO1)

The overall purpose of this job is to support the Service/Main Layer Team Leader in carrying replacement and laying of new gas mains, services and risers.
The key responsibilities of this role are:
Safety on site
Supporting Team Leader on site
Maintaining vans and tools before and during the job
Gas service and mains activities
Undertaking physically demanding work involving excavating/digging in the public/private highways laying and locating gas pipes
Working in a variety of outdoor environments safely and as part of a team
Majority of work is located in London
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
The applicant should hold a GN01 qualification. The technical skills and job knowledge/experience essential in this job are:
Cable locating skills
Knowledge of site set up including boards and barriers
Understanding of site safety
Communicative and Inter-personal skills, including the ability to converse with members of the public
You will be expected to be flexible
A full and valid driving licence is essential

Gas Service Layer (NCO2)

£180 - £200 a day
We are currently recruiting additional NCO(2) Gas Operative Service Layers to join our expanding team, that will ensure that all gas works are carried out in a safe, professional manner and to a high standard.
The key responsibilities for this role are:
To work safely at all times and ensure safety of all those working around them.
To comply with the requirements of Universal Gas Solutions Health and Safety, Quality and the Environment policies.
To undertake the specified Service Laying/Main Laying duties as required by your specific role
To report all accidents and near misses.
To attend toolbox talks
To accurately record details of work undertaken.
To represent Universal Gas Solutions in a professional manner at all times to ensure customer satisfaction
You will be expected to be flexible
Majority of work is London based
